Aimee is a Oxford-based photographer specialising in portrait photographs of babies, couples, families and pregnancy. She works both in a studio and natural location environment.
Aimee is quite happy to pull silly faces at the kids, roll around in puddles and mud, or go trekking through forests and hang upside down off trees – just to get that shot and that smile! The session should be fun, memorable and as comfortable and as natural as possible (though the latter is more achievable with location shoots). All-in-all, you will end up with a beautiful set of photographs of your family that can sit on your wall for a lifetime.
The session itself can last from an hour upwards, depending on what you want and how long you have!
Aimee can accompany you at your home or a local park, or if you have a particular location in mind, just let Aimee know and she’ll be there.
If on the day the weather is bad or one of you is sick, then Aimee can arrange an alternative date with you, without the fear of losing your booking fee. And if you’ve got an idea of an image you’d like, or a space in the home you’re thinking of placing a frame, she can work to your specifications.
If you are a little self conscious about a particular aspect of yourself and would like a little Photoshopping done, please don’t be afraid to ask. Aimee is an expert in Photoshop and will do a tweak or two here and there, but will make sure the image still looks like you at the end of the day!
The shoot
Shoots can be in the home or in location of your choice, like the local park, the zoo, or a country house or forest.
Home and location shoots are very varied. Location shoots are much more natural and less posed, but are dependant on weather and light. Home studio shoots are a little more posed and structured and give you perfect lighting and no weather conditions, but do rely on you having the space in your home for a background, lighting, your family and the photographer. So if space is limited then Aimee would recommend a location shoot. Have a look at the galleries and decide which style you would prefer.
Please note that if there is an entrance fee to your chosen location, this cost will be added to your final invoice. However, Aimee holds an annual pass to Blenheim palace, so no cost will be added for this location.
Viewing your pictures
About two to three weeks after the shoot, your pictures will be ready to view on an online gallery. All images will have been carefully selected and edited. If you'd prefer to meet with Aimee to view the images then a private viewing can be arranged. You can then order prints, frames, albums, canvas prints or CD's.
Cost
Portrait sessions start at £75 for a 60-minute session, which includes £20 print credit. Prints start at £8 unframed, or £40 framed and a CD of images is available for £175. Please e-mail Aimee for further information and a full price list.
